Gotan project
  Početkom 20. stoljeća tango je impresionirao Europu i izazvao masovnu pomamu za plesom stigavši iz Argentine u Pariz. Interes za tangom je tijekom godina varirao, a pojavom Gotan Projecta uzdigao se na sasvim novi nivo i osvojio zapadnjačke klubove i glazbenu scenu. Ono po čemu je tango Gotan Projecta posebno atraktivan jedan je sasvim novi i svježi pristup tradiciji, koji je protkan pionirskim spajanjem dvaju potpuno različitih stilova: argentinskog tanga i duba s Jamajke. Gotan Project čine francuski glazbenici Philippe Cohen Solal, Christophe Mueller i Eduardo Makaroff koji su krajem '90tih odlučili u jednom interesantnom aranžmanu kombinirati najbolje agentinske tango glazbenike s glazbenim stilovima kao što su house, dub i hip hop. Rezultat je bio spektakularan, a njihov prvi album 'La Revancha Del Tango' prodan je u milijun primjeraka diljem svijeta, Gotan Project su odradili veliku rasprodanu turneju i stekli zavidan broj poklonika zahvaljujući ponovno populariziranoj tango glazbi, koju su premjestiti s plesnih podija u zapadno-europske klubove. Iako glazbenici rade na sasvim novom pristupu tangu te spajanju vrlo različitih stilova, ipak ne zaboravljaju korijene te glazbe. Prošle godine izašao je njihov novi album Lunático, za koji članovi sastava kažu: "Zaista smo htjeli istražiti oboje, tango i argentinski folklor, detaljnije nego prije. Iz tog razloga su mnoge pjesme orijentirane prema klasičnom tangu i tradicionalnoj strukturi." |
